Feeling a little stiff in your photography practice? Need a push to try something new? Let’s stretch our creative muscles together! 

Whether you're a beginner or advanced, together we'll explore new ways of photographing and seeing, and experiment with creative approaches to storytelling. Through group critique, we’ll analyze composition and we’ll also seek inspiration by examining the work of a variety of photographers. At the end of the workshop, students will be energized and inspired to expand their photographic vision.

A special highlight of the course will be an exclusive guided tour through the current exhibition with WestLicht curator Fabian Knierim. 

Hard Facts:

Please bring your own camera. On both days, the workshop begins at the WestLicht photography museum with a short theoretical introduction, followed by plenty of time for hands-on photography exercises. The focus lies on creative exchange and collaborative work. A special highlight of the course will be an exclusive guided tour through the current exhibition with WestLicht curator Fabian Knierim, which provides a perfect conclusion to the workshop.

About the person:

The workshop will be held by Anja Hitzenberger.

Anja Hitzenberger is a photographer, educator, and consultant based in New York City and Vienna whose work has been exhibited in solo and group shows, film festivals, and on theater stages throughout Europe, the United States, South America, and Asia.

She is the founder of StrudelmediaLive, an educational platform that offers live online photography classes, talks, scholarships, and more to people around the world. Anja graduated from the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York City, and has been on the faculty there since 2009.
